My Love for Transformation

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18

It’s clear to me, having lived it, that the process of transforming is truly a matter of choice, and that choice is yours alone to make. Once chosen the choice needs to be made again, and again. This is the case as long as you wish to morph into the very best version of yourself. Transformation, I find is a life-long pursuit; it is such an adventure!

The alternative is to stay tuck and rooted in stagnation. While transformation is uncomfortable as it stretches your pain tolerance limits, the process and feeling of stagnation can be even more uncomfortable!

To languish and have a lackluster attitude hardly appeals to me anymore! To wallow with a stinky attitude is a thing of my past, and I thank my Lord from the bottom of my heart for His tender, gracious care!

So why do I choose differently now? In a nutshell, it is more painful to live in an unfulfilled way than it is to reach for the stars! Life is all about movement, and the ease that comes from a comfort zone found in utter stillness leaves me squeezy. It’s a life riddled with regret. It is a path that I refuse to travel down!

Yet, I must be honest and say that the choice to transform is unsettling too. It is not always easy to step into the unknown. When you lack clarity of what lies around the corner, you grip the wheel so tightly and the resulting tension is felt in such an overwhelming way sometimes. It is highly uncomfortable, but at all costs keep your foot on the pedal. I promise, the precipitous curves will lead to safer terrain if you just keep trekking.

So, I encourage you to transform. Seek it out in every area of your life with all the vigor you can muster. It is beyond wonderful!
