Self-Sabotage! It’s the Enemy of Successful Weight Loss

Start there.” – Hunter Post As I reflect on my 55 years lived – soon to be 56 – I ask myself this serious and important question: What have been the instances where I did or did not do something that blocked my path to success? I am talking about those moments of self-sabotage where I took on behaviors that stunted my path to success. I take full responsibility for those instances, for I alone have been the biggest enemy holding me back from all that God has destined for me! I recall many times when I set out on a fitness journey only for that journey to be derailed from a lack of commitment and focus. I would set lofty goals for myself, yet my behaviors echoed everything other than what would get me close to all that I longed for. Was it fear holding me back? Was it procrastination? Were my goals too unrealistic? Did I lack the resources needed for accomplishment? These are just a few of the important questions to answer to understand why things go awry when you initially set out with such good intentions! So be aware of the hinderance of self-sabotage. Take the time to identify the areas in your life where you are intentionally or unintentionally thwarting your progress. Once you examine the root causes, you will conquer this demon, and inevitably find the path to lasting success!
