The Nutritional Strategies That My Diet Coach Has Outlined For Losing Weight

Eating in a systematic and intentional way has been a foundational key to my weight loss success, far more than any other principle munus having the proper mental attitude. Yes, I exercise every day and get quality sleep, but most of my success comes with having the right nutritional strategies – strategies that I exhibit each and every day!

What are these strategies that I speak of?

Firstly, I set out each day knowing the importance of feeding my body in a nutritional and sustainable way. This mindset allows me to be well prepared. I always have the right foods with me in my refrigerator at home and in my food bag when I go to work. This eliminates being tempted with non-diet food as I navigate through my day.

Secondly, I eat on a very strict 3 hour schedule. This keeps me from feeling hunger pangs, and provides me with sufficient energy throughout my day. Never do I feel any form of deprivation eating this way.

Thirdly, I drink a gallon of water every day.

Fourthly, I begin eating at 6am and my last meal is no later than 5 pm. My total calories for the day do not exceed 1300.

Finally, my meals are protein (chicken, turkey, beef, ham, fish) rich. I eat a serving of protein at each meal paired with a cup of green vegetables. A protein shake is my typical breakfast made with water. My fat intake is very low! I eat 4-5 small meals each day.

These nutritional strategies have served me well. I am steadily losing 1-2 pounds a week, and I can now report that I have lost 70 pounds since beginning my journey last June. Should I plateau for a notable amount of time, I am sure my diet coach will consider modifying my diet slightly (these strategies will be discussed in future posts).
